IECD (Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développementis an international solidarity non-governmental organization founded in 1988, operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating since 1989, and has been leading projects throughout the whole country.


Semeurs d’Avenir (SDA) is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in Lebanon.

IECD and Semeurs d’avenir are recruiting a Placement Officer to assist in the implementation of the activities of PARAMED project.

The project aims to train, with the collaboration of the public hospitals, recently graduated nurses all over Lebanon to improve their skills and ensure better employability. SDA is seeking to recruit a placement officer to support the beneficiaries after training and help them find job opportunities.


MISSION

Under the responsibility and with the coordination of the project manager, the placement officer will be responsible for:


1/ Employment:

  • Develop an employability network of hospitals and primary health care centers (PHCC) in the regions of the hospitals.
  • Identify job opportunities for the trainees and put them in contact with the employers.
  • Stay alert to the needs of the employers in terms of skills and new job opportunities.
  • Meeting with existing partners and maintaining good relations.
  • Collect feedback and evaluation of the employed trainees from the employer.
  • Regularly attend the training and participate in the evaluation.
  • Coordinate with the employability team on the development of the job portal on the online platform.


2/ Beneficiaries & hospitals follow up

  • Set up a clear follow-up action plan after the training’s implementation.
  • Work on employability tools to enhance the placement of the beneficiaries.
  • Participate in the regular coordination meetings with the hospitals and different partners.


3/ Reporting

  • Maintain an up-to-date database with potential employers contacted.
  • In coordination with the MEAL Coordinator, collect quantitative and qualitative data in accordance with the project log frame, by working on the internal M&E tools.
  • Submit a monthly report on success and difficulties in placement.


4/ General tasks

  • Participate in the outreach process (interviews of beneficiaries) organized by the senior training coordinator in order to choose adequate trainees for each relevant training.
  • In coordination with the Communication department, actively participate in the social media visibility of the project by identifying success stories, testimonies, and sharing updates of activities with the communication manager to be posted on social media.


PROFILE


Education: Bachelor’s degree in social studies, business administration, nursing, paramedical.


Experience: 2-3 years’ experience.

Knowledge in the health sector is a plus.


Required skills and competencies:

  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Pack.
  • Strong motivation to work in the field with various profiles of beneficiaries and consultants.
  • Adaptability and excellent listening.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Showing initiative and being able to work independently.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to co-develop and follow a detailed project plan.
  • Ability to identify project objectives and work towards reaching them.
  • Native command of the Arabic language and a good level of spoken and written English or French.


CONDITIONS


Under the supervision of: Project manager


Location: Beirut with frequent visits to all the Lebanese territories.


Period of employment: 1 year renewable
