IECD (Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développementis a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1989.


Semeurs d’Avenir (SDA) is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in Lebanon.

IECD and Semeurs d’ Avenir are recruiting a Mental health referent as part of the PARAMED – mental health Project implemented by IECD in the health sector, will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs tailored to the needs of health professionals and institutes.

 

MISSION

The mental health component conducted in this project is divided into three sections: medical, psychological, and soft skills.

Under the responsibility of the program manager, the mental health referent, alongside his/her transversal role at the organization, will be responsible for the psychological component of the project, with the below tasks:


1/ Operational activities:

  • Conduct training needs analysis at the government hospitals.
  • Analyze and develop training content based on the needs shown.
  • Implement and deliver the training sessions to the beneficiaries (staff, trainers, trainees).
  • Conduct activities relevant to the wellbeing of the beneficiaries (focus group discussions, coaching sessions, round tables).
  • Coordinate with the team regarding implementation of activities and common topics.
  • Identify partners to collaborate over the project topic (implementation of activities).
  • Participate in events, meetings, and steering committees related to the project and topic.
  • Develop an awareness campaign (communication and sensitization) related to the topic of mental health.

2/ Transversal activities:

  • Manage and support the referral activity.
  • Be the focal point for PSEA cases (beneficiaries and staff).
  • Develop training material related to mental health based on the needs of the staff and conduct relevant sessions.

3/ Evaluation and Assessment:

  • Assist in the evaluation of training programs effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to evaluate skills, competencies, and learning outcomes.
  • Ensure training content is inclusive, up-to-date, and compliant with IECD standards.

 

4/ Reporting:

  • Prepare and maintain detailed training reports, including attendance, progress, and performance metrics related to each implemented training.
  • Assist in analyzing training data to assess effectiveness and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in building and collect quantitative and qualitative data in accordance with the project log frame, by working on the internal M&E tools.

5/ Support for Other Projects & Cross-Sector Adaptability:

  • Assist in designing and implementing training programs adaptable to various sectors, including health, education, and other industries as needed.
  • Provide tailored solutions to meet the specific needs of different organizational contexts.


PROFILE

Education:  licensed clinical psychologist

Experience: 5 to 8 years’ experience.

Previous experience working in the health sector, NGOs or international organizations is a plus.

Experience in giving trainings is a must.

 

Required skills and competencies:

  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Experience in developing assessment tools to evaluate skills and competencies.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good skills in Microsoft Pack.
  • Strong motivation to work in the field with various profiles of beneficiaries.
  • Adaptability and excellent listening.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to co-develop and follow a detailed project plan.
  • Ability to identify project objectives and work towards reaching them.
  • Native command of the Arabic language and a good level of spoken and written English, French is a plus.

 

CONDITIONS

Under the supervision of: Program Manager

Location: Beirut with regular visits to all the Lebanese territories.

Period of employment: 1 year renewable
