IECD (Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développementis a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1989.

Semeurs d’Avenir (SDA) is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in Lebanon.

 

IECD and Semeurs d’ Avenir are recruiting a Juniot M&E coordinator to assist the project teams and develop adequate M&E tools for the projects and on the organizational level.

 

MISSION

Under the responsibility of the country director and in coordination with the senior M&E coordinator and the program managers, the junior M&E coordinator will be responsible of:


Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Assist project stakeholders (including project management, technical experts, and partners) in reviewing and refining indicators for existing projects.
  • Support the development of indicators and baseline study frameworks for existing new projects.
  • Help design and refine methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) and tools (e.g., surveys, focus group discussion guides, interviews) for data collection.
  • Participate in data collection processes, ensuring accuracy and reliability under supervision.
  • Conduct field visits to observe and document project activities and provide feedback.
  • Maintain organized records of collected data for easy reference and reporting.
  • Regularly review and update the unified KPIs to ensure they accurately reflect the organization’s overall achievements and impact.

  1. Reporting
  • Support in drafting timely and accurate narrative reports for internal and external stakeholders, including donors and partners, under guidance.
  • Assist in conducting tracer studies and compiling data as required by project needs.
  • Create simple dashboards and visualizations to present M&E findings effectively.
  • Ensure reporting formats and deadlines are adhered to, as per donor requirements.
  • Contribute to documenting lessons learned, best practices, and success stories from project activities.

  1. Capacity Building
  • Support capacity-building sessions for the project team on using data collection tools and tracking indicators.
  • Provide support to the project team during data collection and reporting.
  • Maintain an inventory of M&E resources and tools to assist the project team.

  1. Additional Tasks
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating meetings or workshops related to M&E activities.
  • Support in maintaining a database of M&E activities and results.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share updates on M&E activities.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, preferably in the NGO sector.

  • Languages: Must be fluent in English. French is a plus

  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, or Excel).
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Additional Requirements
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed across the country.
  • Familiarity with donor reporting requirements and standards (e.g., AFD, USAID, UN…).
  • Commitment to the IECD and SDA mission and values.

CONDITIONS

Under the supervision of: country director

Location: Beirut with regular visits to all the Lebanese territories.

Period of employment: 1 year renewable

Remuneration: 1100 – 1700 $
