Administrative Intern – Vocational Training Project


IECD (Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement) is a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1994 and opened a regional office in Beirut in 2007.


Semeurs d’Avenir (SDA) is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in Lebanon. The short trainings intervention aims to bring professional skills to young Lebanese and refugees through short-term vocational training programs targeting jobs with higher employment opportunities on the local labor market. These training programs are combined with a personal development component, which includes community activities and general improvement of personal skills.


MISSION


Reporting to the project manager in Beirut IECD SDA office, the intern will assist to:

  • Provide administrative support to the vocational training team, including managing data entry, completing templates, and organizing, archiving, and maintaining project-related documents.
  • Draft and prepare Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) for project-related agreements and partnerships.
  • Facilitate the procurement process and distribution of materials for the project, while maintaining and updating the inventory for the project.
  • Provide support in the planning, preparation, and execution of major events, meetings, training sessions, and community service activities.


Education: Bachelor’s or Graduate degree preferably in humanitarian studies, communications, business management, public relations, social work or a related field. Students currently pursuing their studies at senior level are also motivated to apply.


Experience: No experience is required for this position. However, former volunteering and internships directly related to working in the humanitarian field is preferred.


Skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English language.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • Strong work ethics with a high level of commitment to self-development and initiative taking
  • High commitment to humanitarian work and demonstrated curiosity towards international issues

 

Office Location: The office is based in Beirut and commuting there is required. Occasional trips to the IECD office in Saida may also be necessary, using IECD vehicles.


Period of internship: May 2025 to July 2025 – 3 months


Expected Monthly Salary: 150 USD + daily transportation fees
