IECD (Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement) is a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1994 and opened a regional office in Beirut in 2007.

Semeurs d’Avenir (SDA) is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in Lebanon.

The DAFI (Albert Einstein German Academic Refugee Initiative) scholarship program offers qualified refugee and returnee students the possibility to earn an undergraduate degree in their country of asylum or home country. As the project’s implementing partner, Semeurs D’Avenir is looking for an intern to support the implementation of the program. The main goal is to provide the intern with quality learning experience. In turn, he/she will support the project team in various phases of the project cycle, ensuring timely implementation of activities and deliverables.


Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the DAFI Project Manager, the intern will:

  • Gain a good understanding of SDA and DAFI scholarship mission, values, and day-to-day operations;
  • Expand work experience with meaningful assignments and tasks;
  • Develop existing skills and learn new ones that will be useful for his/her current and future career;
  • Work in a dynamic and multicultural environment that will help him/her broaden the professional network;
  • Support the team in executing the 2025 project action plan milestones, including assisting in tracking progress, preparing reports, and ensuring timely completion of tasks;
  • Provide administrative support such as data entry, document preparation, and maintenance of project records aligned with 2025 targets;
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating project events, training sessions, and student-led activities that are part of the 2025 project timeline,
  • Assist in content creation for social media, newsletters, and success stories, highlighting progress and milestones achieved in 2025;
  • Handle logistics, attendance, and preparation of templates for project-related events, ensuring alignment with the project’s 2025 objectives;
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding measures and data protection standards during all project phases.


Education: Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Education, Social Work, Psychology, or other related fields. Students currently pursuing their studies are also motivated to apply.


Experience: No experience is requested for this position. However, former volunteering and internships directly related to working in the humanitarian field are preferred.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English language;
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word);
  • Good organization and communication skills;
  • Strong work ethics with a high level of commitment to self-development and initiative-taking.
  • High commitment to humanitarian work and demonstrated curiosity toward international issues

Salary: 150$
