Semeurs d’Avenir is currently implementing four programs, divided into thirteen projects with the support of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD).
Semeurs d’Avenir and IECD developed, in cooperation with a number of partner schools, vocational and technical programs to encourage the professional and social integration of youth into the job market through technical training.
The “Guidance, Employment and Training” (GET) program was launched with the support of the Drosos Foundation, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education.
With the intention of implementing a network of guidance and employment offices (GEO) to help academic students discover vocational education, GET also guides students of vocational education on the path they can take after choosing their major and facilitates their access to employment opportunities.
Semeurs d’Avenir and IECD propose short vocational training for young Lebanese and refugees, helping them acquire professional and personal skills, to facilitate their integration into the job market, and to contribute to the improvement of social cohesion in the region.
Semeurs d’Avenir and IECD offer basic management training to small businesses in Tripoli and the North, as well as start-up training for start-up entrepreneurs to reinforce the economic potential of their small businesses and create employment, both in Tripoli and Beirut. It also includes the “Social Business” project, which helps develop electrical technicians from BT electrotechnical backgrounds and prepares them for job opportunities in Lebanese and foreign companies.
The Janah educational and social center provides educational opportunities for Lebanese and refugee children by integrating them into the Lebanese educational system.
In addition to academic support, this center also provides psychosocial support and personal development activities, allowing affected children to reconnect with their childhood.
The Lebanese non-governmental organization, Semeurs d’Avenir, was founded in 2010 with the support of the European Institute for Cooperation and Development (IECD), in order to put in place a local structure that can carry on and ensure the sustainability of projects launched by the IECD in Lebanon with its local partners. Semeurs d’Avenir is the main partner of IECD in Lebanon.
