Mental Health Trainer

IECD (Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement) is a French non-governmental organization founded in 1988 and operating in the field of social and economic development in partnership with local institutions. IECD’s main sectors of action are vocational training and professional integration, assistance to micro and small enterprises and access to education and health for the most vulnerable. In Lebanon, IECD has been operating in the country since 1989.

Semeurs d’Avenir (SDA) is a Lebanese association, created in 2010, registered under the number 1905. It is the operational partner of IECD in Lebanon.

IECD and Semeurs d’ Avenir are recruiting a mental health trainer as part of the PARAMED Project implemented by IECD in the health sector, will design, deliver, and evaluate training programs tailored to the needs of health professionals and institutes.

Role Overview:

The Trainer will be responsible for delivering life skills training and mental health trainings to nurses in governmental hospitals. The role involves developing training content and implementing sessions alongside with evaluation.

MISSION

Under the responsibility and with the coordination of the Senior Skills Development Trainer, you will be responsible for:

1/ Training Design and Delivery:

• Design and deliver interactive life skills and mental health training sessions aligned with organizational objectives and participants’ needs.
• Adapt training methods to different audiences and learning styles.
• Support the beneficiaries during the training phase.

2/ Evaluation and Assessment:

• Assist in the evaluation of training programs effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Implement assessment tools to evaluate skills, competencies, and learning outcomes.
• Ensure training content is inclusive, up-to-date, and compliant with IECD standards.

3/ Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain detailed training reports, including attendance, progress, and performance metrics.
• Assist in analyzing training data to assess effectiveness and provide insights for continuous improvement.

4/ Support for Other Projects

• Assist in designing and implementing training programs adaptable to various sectors, including health, education, and other industries as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Clinical degree in psychology or in the healthcare sector.

• Certification in training, coaching, mental health, or psychosocial support is a strong asset.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in training and facilitation, preferably in mental health or life skills.
• Experience in healthcare, education, or NGO sectors is an advantage.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations is a plus.

Other Requirements

• Valid driving license.
• Availability for field missions across Lebanon.

• Proficiency in tailoring coaching and training methods to diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation tools is an advantage.

CONDITIONS

Under the supervision of: Senior Skills Development Trainer

Location: Beirut with regular visits to all the Lebanese territories.

Remuneration: 1300 – 1800 USD

Period of employment: 1 year renewable
